My career over the last 25 years has been diverse, with work specializing in publication layout, branding & identity creation, UX/UI design, sales & marketing materials, advertising & event collateral, event promotions, and social media for clients based in the Southeast from the Mississippi Delta to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, AL; Baton Rouge and New Orleans to Cajun Country, Louisiana; Pensacola, Destin, and Apalachicola, FL; Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Fayetteville, NC; Washington DC; Denver, CO; San Francisco, CA, and many points in between. I absolutely LOVE promoting travel & lifestyle destinations and helping companies visualize their brand identities.

But I must say, beneath it all, my TRUE love is nature. Scenic destinations, ecotourism, conservation, raising awareness of our surrounding environment… that is my passion. I grew up a country girl, raised on a farm with the woods as my backyard. As much as I enjoy urban destinations, my soul is revived by natural surroundings. Forest green, sunset orange, beach blue–those are my colors. My favorite designs have involved clients or articles about nature.

I am sharing some of my favorite past projects in this blog, but it is hard to condense them down to a few! I hope my fellow nature-lovers will enjoy.

Many of my favorite nature and itinerary spreads occurred during the years I was working for the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau, or Gulf Shores/Orange Beach Tourism Development Council. The spreads below are from vacation guides from different years; and I developed the creative concept, photoshoots, and final design for each.

I also served as Art Director for Southern Breeze, a glossy quarterly lifestyle magazine covering the Gulf Coast from St. Charles, Louisiana to Apalachicola, Florida. This magazine allowed for numerous articles featuring natural settings, ecotourism, and conservation through the years. I must say working on this particular publication with the editorial team behind it was the most fun I have ever had in my career!
