I came home for the Thanksgiving holiday to visit with family and spend some time where I grew up: the Mississippi Delta. The land here is flat and fertile, and beautiful even in winter. I took a series of images this morning that captured the mirror reflection of a cypress break on the creek and left me breathless. I absolutely love nature’s beauty. The series of images gave me flashbacks to a Southern Breeze issue I designed in 2008. The cover shows the same type of mirror image of Apalachicola, Florida, as captured by photographer Jack Gardner. My editor Mark Newman wrote the perfect coverline for it and the feature article by Deb Burst was so much fun to layout.
